The Lifetime Movie Network brings to you the brand new suspense film “Taken in Broad Daylight” starring Sara Canning, Levar Burton which is based on the true story of Anne Sluti along with a performance by James Van Der Beek.
The teenager Anne Sluti was seized from a parking lot. Anthony Zappa was the kidnapper who had taken her on a horrific six day multi state journey. Sluti later gave evidence against Zappa and explained how she was sexually assaulted while she was being held captive.
This is a story where Anne Sluti with her intelligence and courage left clues for the police and maneuver her vicious captor. In September 2002, Anthony Zappa was verdict to life in prison for the kidnap of Anne Sluti. Zappa also made a reimbursement of around $40,000. Zappa has to serve at least 40 years in prison.
