The teenager Anne Sluti was seized from a parking lot. Anthony Zappa was the kidnapper who had taken her on a horrific six day multi state journey. Sluti later gave evidence against Zappa and explained how she was sexually assaulted while she was being held captive.

In September 2002, Anthony Zappa was verdict to life in prison for the kidnap of Anne Sluti. Zappa also made a reimbursement of around $40,000. Zappa has to serve at least 40 years in prison.
