The Real World "Pedro"

If you have watched the Real World in the early days of the show, then you must remember the Pedro Zamora. A cast member of The Real World: San Francisco, Pedro was the opening gay man who had HIV and had appeared on the national television.

Pedro had found that he was HIV positive when he was still in junior high school. Sadly he passed away on November 11, 1994 when he was 22 years old, just after the show ended its run. But he has left an unbelievable impact during his small life time, using The Real World as a forum to educate young people about HIV and AIDS.

MTV has produced a biopic of Pedro Zamora which is titled “Pedro” and written by Dustin Lance Black, who has won the Oscar for Milk, Pedro will not be premiere on MTV until April 4, but the cast of the latest installment of The Real World gets to see it on tonight's episode of The Real World: Brooklyn, airing at 10 p.m. EST/PST.
